They are doing amazing work in propagating and getting awareness on Carbon Emissions, Greenhouse gases, rising temperatures and other environmental things. On this International Women’s Day let’s get to know some of them.


Prediction by Eunice Foote about CO2 responsible for increase in Temperatures


Eunice Newton Foots US Scientist did the initial experiments on greenhouse gases. In 1856 she showed with her experiments that more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere would be there reason of rising of temperatures.

Rachel Carson Her writing inspired a global environmental movement


In her Book ‘Silent Spring’ Environmentalist Rachel Carson wrote about how pesticides affect our ecosystem. The US Environmental Protection Agency was set up based of her movements on environment protection.
